slightly OT - Fiat 1500 sedan

There's cool looking '64 Fiat sedan on SF CL today (no relation to seller, etc):

It's no Giulia, but it sure looks like it wants to be one when it grows up. Anyone had any experience with these cars?

Well, it's no Alfa, but is a nice looking car...

i guess it's a lot more rare then a giulia though!!

Explains the rather high price I guess...

They are terrific cars, with robust mechanicals. Not as exotic a specification as a 105 series Alfa Romeo, but still fun to drive and a darn sight more involving than anything French of the same vintage. The pushrod motors are quite tuneable but inserting a 1600/1800 or 2000 twin cam from a 124/131 or 132 etc isn't hard if you have a donor car - and I believe the 1500 is lighter than a 124 sedan, and certainly nicer to look at.

Fiat 1500

We have tons of those car here in Egypt, even my Grand father use to have one and many of them are taxis, and in the 70's early 80's those were assembled in Poland with floor stick shift.
See pics attached taken a while ago from my office.

Interesting - thanks for the comments. It looks like a nice example. I'm not in the market to buy right now, but if it's still around in a couple of months, who knows.
