Hi,
I went to an alfa mechanic to get my son GTVC (Replica GTC) for a tune up ended up buying this Berlina which according to the mechanic wo did it and helping his friend to sell the car it had a full restoration 2 years prior but was left neglected because of a family divorce. I thought of having the motor and other parts for spares for the GTV but looks too good to waste. I noticed that the air filter in this car is the same as my son's GTVC, is this correct?. The berlina is 2000 1972 RHD. The door is slightly dented and a little rust mear the quarter glass whic may be nothing to worry about, although having reskinned a GTV doors for my daughter's GTV Automatic I dont know if the rust is a lot worst . The sills are ok and were redone .
The problem is the reverse gear keep jumping out so. it will need repair and since I know nothing about fixing it I will have to get a mechanic to do it, even if they say it is a simple thing to do it will cost about $700. I hope to keep the car as I find it drives very nicely and the interior has a beautiful blue velour all over and the roof lining is perfect, I paid $1800 Aussie dollar for it, so I can not go wrong.

Reverse Pops Out
Don't be too hasty repairing the trasmission , sometimes it's just because of a bad trasmission mount , it does that , look into replacing the mount first , much cheaper! It happened to me.

What better way to start off the New Year than having twin Berlina's hunt you down on the freeway.
