Stance is just perfect. I have a huge fondness for white berlina's.

Ok.
Must say how "as good as new" it looks, especially when you look back at the pics on the first page of this thread. Its gotta be one of the best Berlinas in the world.
I've been toying with the idea of taking my compomotives off and refitting the steel rims just to remind me of how much more supple and fluid the ride used to be. Since fitting the bigger alloys its looks great, but does tend to be heavy around town to steer and has on 2 occaisions felt a bit vague when cornering hard on wet/muddy/slippery roads that the regular tyres would have coped with (I think ).

Yep, The guy who introduced me to Berlina's back in the mid 80's started off with a 2000 like mine in met. olive. After he'd sorted the rust he had it painted in a bright apple green with a white roof and the main flat area of each side in white, with satin black wheels and kept the stainless centre's as a contrast against the black. Looked quite dramatic, not quite my cup 'o' tea, but hey, it was the 80's.......

Hi guys.what do you think is it too far gone to be economical to restore or realistically more suitable for parts.
It actually was my old '73 2L Berlina, which I had started to rebuild with the idea of using it for club events and perhaps some classic rallys. It had a nice motor, great gearbox, new clutch, rebuilt suspension, Koni yellows, stiff/lowered springs, new headlights, indicators, rebuilt clutch/slave cylinder etc etc. Unfortunately I ran out of steam and funds at the time and sold it on. The PO too liked the idea and was going to sort out the bodywork, which wasn't so bad as it is now and then let it completely go, sitting out in the open. He eventually sold it to a guy who took all the good stuff out out of it/off it and passed it on to my brother, who was after the engine for his Ti 1300. To see my brother's collection of cars go to the my garage thread.
Anyway, he hasn't done anything with it so far and has another 2 2L and a 1750 Berlina. At best I think one decent 2L could be made out of the three of them, as one body shell he has is not too rusty. The 1750 is totally rusted out. I can get some pics and post them if anyone is interested.
Oh well, one day I would love to have a 1750 like Haigs. That to me is spot on or ditto Green Berlinas car. Cheers Dave

Christopher...a dark steel gray...or carbon gray...glossy nor flat..would enhance the look...give it a nice look....flat black would be a bit dull in my view...what color is your berlina?
