ZZ jr.....yes....thanks for the question...
Berlina..has a fresh 2 liter motor....40 dcoe webers....a hotter cam...powder coated inside and out headers...brand new suspension....and perhaps 753...NEW everything...thats too long to mention....
We would like to think..that it is perhaps...as good as...or even better that factory.
Next week ...when i get a chance...since we are not totally done on the resto..i will post
some final photos...of the engine bay...and some detail..we accomplished...followed by a summary..of the completion of the entire process...
Great progress...more to come..........Haig.

Giorgio, (sorry for the delay, been away on holiday) I had a look thru Andrews Berlina register and only spotted 1 with Black exterior. Not sure if it is factory paint tho'. Can anyone shed any light on this curiosity?
I'm seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a 2000 Berlina used as some kind of Governmental/official staff car. Could this have been black in colour? Was there any Mafioso types (like in the italian job film when they roll the Jag e-type (or was it an Aston?) over the cliff top) who had a fleet of Black Berlinas? or have I been watching too many films ?

The fleet of black cars in the "Italian Job" were Dino Coupes.

The one black car I know of (local) was repainted black; originally was something else. I think it was a very rare color.
I also know of one black Giulia TI locally, but it too was repainted to that color.

Thanks Andrew, I was only curious, and I think your response says it all. It must have been a rare colour and so this is why no one seems to know of any surviving cars ( I guess from your vast knowledge that the factory did build black cars ).
All is well with mine at the moment, electric cooling fan project is almost complete, i've fitted a fan, relay, wiring and a manual switch all for free so far, i'm just working on a thermal switch to finish it off.
Front seat belts have been changed for new 3-point inertia-reel belts, also I have rears to fit but it doesn't look straight forward so will put some time aside to tackle this one when I can.

I (obviously) see mostly US cars, since that's where I am. Colors that came to the US are not necessarily representative of what the rest of the world got. We got a tiny percentage of Giulia sedans and Berlinas. I would estimate at most, and probably less, than 5,000 Berlinas came to the US total out of 200,000 made. That's 2.5 percent.
Most common US Berlina colors seem to be maroon, green, dark blue, periwinkle blue, and white. A few beige cava, a few red, a few metallic olive. I think Alfa limited the colors coming to the US. Elsewhere I can't say without doing some sorting of my Berlina excel sheet.
