I just had my Berlina on the track with 195/55-14s on 6" Bosch Spider wheels and got a tiny bit of rubbing on very hard corners on one side, otherwise no issues.
My car is lower than this one, and with some shimming of the plastic end spacers in the trunnion to get the body centered on the axle, I think there'd be no rubbing at all. The axle is off-center by maybe 1/2", not uncommon.

It doesn't get better than that. You've taken Berlina restoration to the next level!

ppth99,
That looks really nice!
Mine is also olive green, but it will be piper yellow soon, I also changed the interior color from tan to black leather.
Your steering wheel looks like plastic or faux wood?
Very sharp looking Berlina.........Viva Berlina.

Hmm why the colour change Georgio?
That steering wheel you mentioned is the same as my original one, which I have now changed in favour of the "personal" type wheel from a spider just like yours (call it inspiration having seen the one you have). I think it is some kind of faux wood but have not a clue what its made from.
Was there ever any Black Berlinas built and if so does anyone have a good picture of one? i know black is an absolute nightmare to keep looking good especially on a car with such large flat areas as a Berlina, but if kept nice could look pretty cool.

Ian,
The reason why I am changing the color from green to yellow, because of my dad's piper yellow Berlina, since my dad passed away couple years ago I want to do something that will remind my childhood growing up on that Berlina.
I don't know what you mean by black Berlina?
My original Berlina steering wheel is real wood, I know that for fact because it had a crack on the backside of the wheel and you can see it clearly it is wood.

Haig managed to get his Berlina onto CA Speedway for some hot laps today. We all got a few pointers from him and his navigator, manuelalfaholic

Sorry if I caused any confusion there Georgio, the Black Berlina query was intented as a separate question. Your colour change got me wondering what other colours would look good on Berlinas and what was available from the factory. I don't think i'd ever change the colour of mine but would never say never..... black could look pretty cool with all the chrome and stainless detailing .
A lot of people look upon changing the colour of a car as de-valuing it, but in this case it wouldn't matter as I guess your keeping yours for a real long time. Its a nice touch that your going for piper yellow as a tribute to your late dads car.

No problem Ian. I believe they had several colors, but the piper yellow exterior has black interior.
I think black exterior would look good, I am not sure if there was any factory black Berlina's. Does anyone has some any info?
Giorgio
