Happy New Year

Seinista: The door seals I need to replace are the ones on the doors. I looked back on my pictures. The seals on the body are pretty good shape. I replaced the seal around the moving windows on the outside and need to also replace the interior. The door seal looks like it will be fun and alot of time.

Haig: I saw in a earlier picture a crack in your dash. What did you do with it. I have a crack also in my dash. I also like the black valve cam cover. What did you use to paint it.

I really enjoy the Berlina. It is just a long term restore. I started August 1979.
It is still fun to drive with the many things to do to it.

Alvis,
Not much detail ..i can provide ..Jorge the upholsterer said, either he would blend it in and coat the whole dash...with some cool detailed stitching around the gagues...at a reasonable price .....or send it out ...at 3 times his asking...to just dashes....so i favored plan A....Iam glad i did...it looks brand new...ill get a closeup for you on my next visit to the shop.

71 Euro Berlina 2000 Restoration process

Well I am starting little backward restoration, because the upholstery guy was available right away, so I did the interior first, leather seats, headliner, dash and carpet. Anyway everything will be installed after the engine and body work.
I really like the quality work he did and the leather looks great, it was worth the extra expense for the leather.
I went to see the upholstery guy today and took some photos.

Love the dash !

Haig,
Sorry for my lack of reviewing this thread. I have had several setbacks since my fathers death last year.
I like the dash.
Thanks for sending me your pictures.

Haig,

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but in post #365 You have a picture of the seats in your GTV. What year are the seats from? I think they would look good in my Super.

Hi Rik,

Did you happen to buy this car from someone in Bussum by the name of Bart?
He is a friend of mine and we imported just a 1750 like that from the nieghboorhood of Modena in Italy in 1988. He sold it because the driverside sill was bad. Just curious!

Ciao, Olaf

Hey Gifford,

Post 365...showing the seats in my 74 gtv....are from a 69.....and they were already installed when i purchased the car ...i just reupholsered everything during restoration...and i know for a fact that they are not easy to find...its probably best if you post an inquiry for a set of used ones in this forum , or ask the guys at Santo...whether you can or not have them installed in a giulia super...you might have to modify or change the seat assembly.
