The white/green Giulia above owns a Guy living nearly at me. Often watch him racing. For fans of originality the car wouldnt be a great deal, but i think sufficiently for private racing.
Donīt know the weight of the car, but the hoods and the rear parts of the car were all made in gfk.
The giulia is fired by a +240hp twinspark engine, enough for being competitiv in his class........just looking at the fact that where i live race-alfas are more than rare.....

short video of the car

ciao

Tiger Wheels

If you are intersted, I will go down to my local TSW outlet and ask them if they still have some of the correct centre caps and wheel nuts for those rims. While there, I will try and find the correct name for these wheels.

The centre caps were small plastic ones and were not expensive to buy.

The correct wheel nut was a big 24mm chromed nut with a step down to a much narrower shoulder (about 17 - 19 mm) that fits into the mag wheel. It also comes with a big washer. They are not that expensive, but when you have to buy 16 of them, it does get a bit expensive (in ZAR terms). The weight may also make it expensive to post them from SA to France. They also came in left hand thread, but I doubt if any of these are still available. I may still have some of these wheelnuts at home, and if so, will take a picture and post it here for you.

I used to race my brown Berlina with various Tiger aliminium wheels, so I know their products very well.

I will look around to see if I can get some pictures of my Berlina with the wheels visible and post it for you. Unfortunately I no longer have that car.

I have a sister-in-law who lives in Paris and I can always try and send the correct bits along to Paris with a family member when they go there to visit. It should be a lot easier for you to get things from Paris, than trying to get it from Johannesburg.

Berlina SW

I came across this picture in my archives whist looking for pictures of the wheels and wheelnuts mentioned above. Don't you think this is a sexy car?

Has anyone ever seen one in the flesh?

I have seen the Giulia SW, there are 3 in SA, but have never even heard talk of the Berlina version. According to to several publications, 50 was built of each, not by Alfa Romeo, but with their blessing. (Alfa themselves apperently placed these orders at private coachbuilders).

I have often though of buying a 1750 wreck and have a replica Berlina SW built. It should attract a lot of attention.

Don't know if this helps,
I've used a site called "bablefish" ( AltaVista - Babel Fish Translation ) to translate some italian text relating to Alfas, copy and paste what you can't read into their site, select the laguage you want to tranlate from and to and it does it for you. some of it is still a little sketchy due to being lost in the translation but you get the general idea. (works well on parts listed in other languages on ebay for example).
