Rob,

I've got a set of front and back seats from a '74 that you can have for free if you pick them up! Sounds like you've already got seats though. I may have some other interior bits for sale, door panels, dash, etc. Send me a PM if you're interested and I can send my phone #. Like Damien said, make a list and post it in the parts for sale and wanted section.

Damien,
Before your Berlina shell goes to the crusher be sure to salvage those little plastic plungers and grommets on the B pillar that activate the interior lights. You'll trash at least one of them in the process, which is why everyone needs them! I'm pretty sure it's the same part on Supers.

Thanks for the Register info Rob. The submission link doesn't work on the Berlina page, but emails to watry at prodigy dot net or andrew dot watry at lexisnexis dot com should get the info to me successfully. I'll include this info in the Register, and if you send me your email address I'll add you to the mailing list.

Thanks Damien and Bill. I'm attaching a picture of the interior (I hope it works). I put a bunch of pictures Kelly took during the conversion up on my flickr account (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rob_lamoreaux). The black interior with ripped vinyl on the rear seats is current, where the tan interior was original.

The things we need the most are door seals and dash parts. I have a gauge cluster and a heater core, and Dean at Trail Auto near us said we could come by and pick parts from one of his parts berlina's which should get us windup rear windows and glove box door, but he said the dash cap was pretty bad. Eventually we will replace the huge tach and GPS with the original cluster, and this winter I need to rebuild the tranny since 1,2, and now 3 are crunching.

My sister-in-law toldus last night that her friend on the east coast is looking for a couple of '70s Italian Sedans to rent for filming the next Pink Panther movie. So the Berlina might be paying for it's own restoration if they think it isn't too far from stock.

Andrew: I remember sending to the lexinexis address with no result. I'll send to the prodigy one and see.

Danielle loves the car and did pretty well in it at the AROC national convention time trial and autocross last week. I like that it has EFI so I don't have to worry about tuning webers the way I do on the Elan.

Thanks,

Rob

It's lexisnexis; you're spelling it wrong.

The interior on this car came out of a parts Berlina I had, when Kelly decided to sell the car, and felt it needed real seats, carpets, and door panels, rather full race stuff, to be palatable to buyers.

I can't actually remember how I spelled the email address since it was months ago. The only email to you in my archive is addressed to berlinaregister.com, but I thought I emailed the work address too. Oh well.

From what I was told Eric Storhok told Kelly that he and Ines would buy the car if it had an interior and next thing he knew it had an interior. We told Eric we would buy the car from them when they got it back to Michigan from the Seattle convention. Since they ended up not going to the convention we bought it directly from Kelly.

About all I've done was fix exhaust leaks, put insulation under the carpet, add a GPS for speedometer reroute the coolant to bleed air off better, and change the steering wheel to a 14 inch one since the 12 inch was too small. I did buy a heater, gauge cluster and wood dash trim along with some other small trim peices off ebay, but I haven't had the time to see about installing any of it.

Anyway it has a good home in a lifelong Alfisti, since my wife grew up with the GTA Jr. her dad bought a year before she was born, along with other Alfa's he had along the way.

Thanks,

Rob

Door seals are available from the UK, and they're pretty cheap. I think Alfaholics have them for about GBP13 each.

Some stuff I have that you may need includes a 2000 console, original steering wheel, a-pillar trims, kick panel trims, heater vents etc, arm rests, door/window winders....in fact much of the interior, especially the smaller trim items. The only things I'm really using myself are the seats and door cards, the rest of the interior is available, and most of it's in OK condition.

Also try Pro Auto Rubber here in SA, (http://www.proautorubber.co.za/index.htm) they make most rubber seals for the 105 series Alfas and they are inexpensive because of the quantities they sell. Unfortunately they do not make the rubber seals that have the felt covering as some of the cars came out with. The door seals are also slightly thicker (the tube is bigger) and tends to take a while after fitment, to flatten out. This makes closing a bit of a hard bang affair initially. Their (side) wind down window channels work a dream and window felt strips are tops.

There are still hundreds of these older cars in SA and most people try and restore them sooner or later.

Pro Auto makes and sells many kits for the GTJ /GTV cars, including the hard to find front quarter vent window rubbers.

However good their door rubbers, I do not llike their front and rear screen rubbers. They are not made with the groove to accept the ally strip, as most requests come from people who have damaged these strips when removing the old rubbers, and they want rubbers without that groove.

Regards.

Malcolm

Alfa Sedan

Rob,

I have 2 Alfa Sedan. If they are interested to make movies in the East cost (Boston), I am open for that.

One of the UK suppliers does have the felt-edged inner door seals, I can't remember if it's Alfaholics, Highwood or Classic Alfa.

I'm not sure where they are filming, but her friend is based in Rhode Island. I'll let my sister-in-law know.

There are at least 7 Supers and Berlinas that I know of in MA and southern NH, so they could have their pick.

There's Berlina's here in the UK too if any filming is being done over here!!!!

Note to any one interested:- I heard the gold 2000 auto Berlina featured in some of my earlier pictures only fetched around £3000 in its auction. (thru a fellow member of the " Alfa Owner" website).
