Berlina Registry

I just bought a Berlina and tried to register it. No luck - the page wasn't found and an email to the owner was bounced back. Does anyone know anything about this?

Not easy to take a good picture of that.

Here is my try:

As you can see to the right, some paint has been ground off.
It is very tight indeed.

I guess that my TS produces 160 HP (No Cat, Cool air and an efficient exhaust system)

The bounce feature hasn't worked in some time and I've failed to remove the description (too busy working on the cars to work on the web page). I say elsewhere on the page to email me the info at watry at prodigy dot net, or you can give me the info here.

Haig,

Yes Massa, OK Massa... Should I wash your car too?

I have a side view for you.
The picture is LARGE. (I will not direct link it)
Use this link: http://alfapower.nu/albums/Blandat/aaa.jpg

...or were you thinking of a 45 degree angle perspective?

Are you surprised to find 105-series Alfas in Sweden?
We have a lot of them. How many do you want?
If you want to buy a classic Alfa. Look in Sweden. Prices here are at least 40% lower than anywhere else. Don't know why.

Unfortunately it means that the best cars are exported.
When I sell mine I will put an ad on a German site. They like Berlinas a lot.

A picture with the Giulia included. (The one reflecting in my garage painted car.)

Haig,
I should tell my cousin who lives in Sweden to look for some Berlina's.
I had no idea that they have them much cheaper than anywhere else.

Berlina 1750,
Nice pictures, keep them coming!!!

Nice red Berlina. It sits so low! When mine is finished it will be riding on Alfaholics fast road kit, with their new 15" GTA replica rims. I hope it sits as nicely as yours!

Thanks,

The ride height in front is not that low. You must be careful not to lower the front too much. If the lower wishbones points upwards the roll center will end up UNDER ground. This will, not only, give you a car that will roll excessively. It will also reduce the body roll caster compensation.

In short: Not good!

In the rear, however, the rule is: The lower, the better.

This is for (at least) two reasons.

1. The T-bar has a high mounting point, which will force a lot of load to the outer wheel. This can be compensated (to a certain degree) by lowering the rear end of the car.
2. The T-bar produces a significant amount of "Pro squat" which will rise the rear end while braking. (And lower it while accelerating.)
This is also compensated by lowering the rear end.

The 105-series is known as "the over steerer".
Very entertaining, but not efficient if you want to go for good laptimes.

My Berlina has a very slight (and consistent) understeer.

My recipe for that is:

1. Follow the "ride height recommendations" above.
2. Get some serious front springs. (Mine are 800% stiffer than stock)
3. Let the rear end be soft. (200% stiffer than stock)
4. Use Droop Stops to minimize body roll. (My droop is 10 mm:s)

Oh, one more thing. My Berlina brakes without the standard "rear end wobbling"
That comes with the 1-4 "package".

Good Luck with your Berlina project.
The GTA wheels are SOOOO nice.

A picture of my Droop Stops may be helpful.

I just finished a complete front and rear Brake job on my Berlina 2000, rebuilt calipers, new rotors, pads, and front brake lines. I painted the front calipers red. Tomorrow my wife will help me bleeding the calipers, and then for a test drive.
