Georgio68, would that be a US or european new from the dealer car? As Andrew has mentioned the US spec cars with FI seem to have the inezione badge instead. (merely curios, not trying to be a pain, honest!!!)

Nice, Got any pics?

I think i've attached some pic's of my Berlina @ Spring Alfa Day which was its first propper outing under my ownership. A late evening trip to Brailes Nr Banbury (14th April) with an overnight stay with a friend of mine then on to Aylesbury for the Show/meeting of Alfa's to find Mine was the only Berlina 2000 to show up . Hope there's some others show up to the National Alfa day @ the end of June

badge location
Hi Ian & Giorgio
Thanks for the detailed info, and after doing some investigation I found out that my friend's 2000 Berlina (now only two 2000 Berlinas existed in Jakarta) has the badge located as described by Ian.
It seemed that somehow the PO had moved the badge because the local number plate had covered it.
Cheers, and have a nice week-end
Zafar

National alfa Day would be great, I just got back from Peterborough (first time we've got over there in ages) I forgot to get in touch about those headlights I had that you were after, do you still need them?

My Berlinas - Johannesburg South Africa
I currently only have a yellow (or mustard) 1750 Berlina. I also owned a reddish brown one. At one stage, I raced them both.
I raced the brown one in The Historic Racing Car Inland Series in SA from 1992 to 1996. I sold this car in 1998.
The yellow one, I rallied and raced in a series for street legal (mostly un-modified) classic cars from 1994 to 1996 and won the Track Racing championship in it three years in a row. These cars required no roll cages.

I have been 1750 Berlina mad since buying my first 1750 Berlina Executive (1970 year model) in 1975!!
Regards.
Malcolm

A Berlina with an underbody like that is something I have never seen before.
This is what mine looked like:
After a few hours... WEEKS... OK, I admit... MONTHS:

Berlina 1750....Could you possibly post a closeup on your rear wheel arches...since i was thinking of sinking in some 15x6.5 deep dish panasports on my 69...i assume you have 14 inch wheels and they seem to be pretty low..any rubbing issues...etc..etc...

At one stage I ran 7.5x17 wheels with 215/40 x ZR17 Yokahamas on my Berlina. I had the boltface surface machined to the extent that they fitted perfectly. This of course meant that the bolt holes had to be rebuilt as they were now only big openings. A local engineering works plugged the holes, welded the plugs in place and re-drilled the stud holes.
Fortunately it was a modern wheel with lots of meat to cut away. We must have taken off at least 1 inch. Modern wheels all tend to have "spacers" cast as part of inner surface of the boltface. Cutting it away still ensures that the brake caliper misses the inside of the wheel. The outer surface was fairly flat with seven spakes. This flat faced rim actually suited the "slab sidedness" of the Berlina quite well.
It worked perfectly. The only mod to the bodywork was to use an angle grinder to grind away the folded over lip on the inside of the wheelarch. Only under severe (on the limit) cornering, did the left front tyre catch on the inside of the wheelarch. The Berlina was also drastically lower than standard, which of couse made it even more difficult not to touch.
So, yes, it is possible to go up to 7.5 inches wide. Any wider will not be possible as it was at the absolute limit. It only just missed both the inner and outer of the inner rear arches.
I have a picture somewhere, I will try and find it, scan it and post it.

They were TSW 7.5 x 17 Evo alloy wheels made by Tiger Wheels in South Africa. TSW = Tiger Sport Wheels. No, the Berlina was like a train on rails with those fitted, but it was not a period mod, so after about a year I sold it to a chap with a Bertone 2000 GTV.

I use SAAB 15x6 wheels. The look almost exactly like original.
I needed 15 inch since TOYO R888 195/50 x 15 are very cheap.
There is about 3 mm:s of clearance, which is sufficient thanks to Superflex bushings.
No closeup pic available, for the moment, but here is a pic that will give you a hint on how close it is.

Looks great...however..the main concern i have is the rear wheel clearance...is that the 3 mm you are refering to ??....id appreciate a further closeup.. ..when possible...and thanks for your input...
What kind of horsepower are you getting ..with that twin spark...Thanks
Haig.
