Hmmm, Exchange notes.....
As it happens robinkritz, I visit the Peterborough area fairly frequently as I have relations there, maybe we could meet up sometime when i'm over, PM me with some details if you like.
How long ago was the last time you saw my Berlina? I guess its lookin' a bit better know all its "eye's" are back in order!!! ( I think its last MOT was done by a man with a white stick going by the poor condition of the l/h outer headlamp, and the fluid leak from around the brake light switch that I found once I started poking around in a bit more depth than you do when viewing a car) .

Sorry Guys
Went off the subject a bit with my last two entries, Back to the matter of Berlina fever.... Its all gone a bit quiet from you guys across the pond and I havn't seen much action from this end of the planet at all. I like the police car look/theme as mentioned before in this thread. The Berlina 2000 my old mate had ended up being painted in a similar style, mainly apple green with white along the middle section of the side and a white roof with black wheels I think I have an old photo of it, allbeit in the distance, i'll see if I can find it to scan and post on here.
Don't know what ever happened to this car as it was sold on in the late 80's and never seen again. Havn't a clue waht the chassis number was but if any UK alfaholics know the whereabouts of "NDP 78M" any news would be good news.
Attached image is of my attempts at Berlina preservation.

Mmm, belas rodas georgio68. your steering wheel rim looks thicker than mine, is this something that changed with the model year? I would prefer mine to be the thicker type like yours, any suggestions? is yours standard or from another model perhaps?

Berlina lights
are Berlina 2000 lights a unique size?which other alfa has these lights? It looks as though the 1750 has similar lights to 105 bertone GTV.also are the 1750 and 2000 berlina bodies totaly the same, apart from the lights and dash, could i get away with restoring a 2000 berlina using a 1750 body?

Are you talking about the headlights or tailights. If its the headlight yes they are the same.

Yes the Berlina 1750 and 2000 are exact the same bodies/chassis, except the engine, dashboard, tailights, headlights, grill, seats, hubcaps. Also the Berlina 2000 has LSD (limited slip differential).
In my opinion if you have a 1750 Berlina you should keep it 1750 style and replace the engine with a 2.0 liter.

You are right. I replaced mine from a 74 Spider it is thicker and sportier looking.

Seeing Green Berlina's beautiful Berlina reminded me that I have a few pictures of a 1750 I took in 1996. The car belonged to Paulo Franchi and appeared to be very original. It still had the tool kit and owner's manual. Yes, that is bird $hit.

spare lights
Robinkritz, I have some spare 1750 lights that were among the spares that came with my car. I also know of a very sad but complete 2000 that a guy in Banbury wanted rid of, i'd love to take it on as a source of spares but have nowhere to keep it so didn't follow it up. PM me if your interested in the lights.
