It has been a while since I had an Alfa - but I just came back from a long distance trip in my old Miata - which is just as loud with the roof down all the way. The solution, as is known to anyone that did any long distance motorcycle riding - is ear plugs.
Try them next time - they are a cheap, efficient way to deal with long distance driving/riding in anything that is not Lexus quite.

They also help with that pesky siren noise behind you.

Are you trying to tell me that it is illegal? Would not surprise me given that the law is at times rather stupid - you can hear a lot better with ear plugs than with a stereo blaring as can often be felt and experienced when some bi-spoilered 1990 something Acura with too much money invested in stereo equipment waits in a red light next to you.
To the best of my knowledge these mega stereos are legal...
Oh well, use at your own risk, I guess.

No, I was just kidding. I have no idea if it's legal - I was always under the impression that listening to headphones while driving was illegal, but I don't know if it applies to earplugs.

I missed this post too, but I bet several sedan owners will be at the AROO meeting at Busters in Tigard tonight!

Well, heck, why don't we just say let's meet at the Hedge House next Tuesday for cheap pints. I'm typically there on Tuesdays after work.
Not sure if I will make the AROO meeting tonight. It depends on how beat I am after work.

If you are willing to accept non-sedan owners (and by non-sedan owners I am not limiting myself to Alfa sedans)... I would be happy to attend
FWIW - I often attend the bi-weekly meetings of the PNW2002 group at the Holgate station and this is a nice thing to do - meet some fellow enthusiasts without an official club and dues and schedules... and while it is mostly attended by BMW 2002 owners - it is not limited to them (I attended before I had one and still do now that I no longer own one).
I will however probably find the time to get to the AROO meeting tonight.

Yeah sure, I'd say it's open to anyone. It's just an excuse to shoot the sh*t and hang out.
