When you get to Canada, give me the VINs on these cars and I'll put them on the North American Giulia Register, and sign you up for newsletters.
See www.berlinaregister.com.

Thumbs up

Shall do!! First my giulia has to get me from Halifax to the Kootneys in BC though and in order to get to Canada, unfortunately, it will have to be car and no longer cars. (hopefully only a temporary status quo)
I had a quick look at the giulia register and was suprised that there are so many registered, but then again North America is fairly large on the scale of worldly things!
Thank you Andrew!
Bob

Talking Bob, that's beautiful!

I really admire your Super. The color looks like 'Amaranto' . the same as my
'68 1600 Super. It really shows the body shape well.
As you can see from the pics, I have the sedan virus!

Thumbs up Even more beautiful!!

Your Giulias are more beautiful by far! I love the first series Supers with all the extra chrome!!
Yes that is Amaranto. I was sceptical about the colour at first but it has really grown on me and I agree that it brings out the body shape very well, the dents and scratches too though. In my opinion the brown interior doesn't combine with Amaranto very well though and thus I am putting in a black vinyl interior out of a giulia nuova. You may have noticed that it sits a little lower in the front? I installed the front springs out of a 1600 GT junior which lowers the front end about 3/4 inch and makes the front end a fair bit stiffer. It really makes a noticable difference, like all of a sudden the road speaks to you again. As soon as it warms up a little I'll shorten the rear springs to level it out and am contemplating lowering it down a little more alltogether. All the original parts will of course be kept and stored for future regrets. Pictures will be posted when the work is done!
regards
Bob

@Super 1750

Your story is correct, only the 1300 version did not have the rear sway bar, this is only for the 1600 version

When did the Super lose the crossover intake ducting in favour of the long canister setup ?

I'm guessing around 1970. In the U.S. our last Supers(67) had the crossover and a brochure that I have for the 69 euro Berlina shows the crossover on that car's 1750 engine. I'm assuming the Super of that year had it as well. Whenever the european cars went to hanging pedals I think they would have had to loose the air cleaner on the left fender well.

No, it was earlier, I think it was when they changed to hydraulic clutch in 69, had a original 69 Biscione, standing pedal, hydraulic clutch with the " new" airintake

Giulia Bianca is right on the mark. Here is a '69 in Belgium with floor pedals and later air cleaner.

Does anyone have more complete pictures from the dossier above to post or email? I'm putting something together for the Berlina/Giulia Register newsletter and pics of more variations, if there are any, would be helpful. Thanks

Andrew
