A few pics of my Super and its first day out!
This is my latest addition to the Alfa fleet... I turned my project Ti (along with $$) into a nice white Super. A fellow Alfabb'er and friend did all the hard work, so I can't take all the credit, but I have been going through it and making some changes and putting the finishing touches on it. What a blast to drive! Everything I have been told about the sedans being great is true... a very different car from my '67 stepnose. I took it out today for the first time (after fitting a new Magnaflow/Alfabb exhaust system last night, thanks Simon!!) and brought it down to Baja Cantina for Hot Chilli Nights tonight, which is the local Thursday night weekly car gathering.

Not sure where the carpets came from, I will have to ask the previous owner. The interior was pretty much done when I got it except for mounting the drivers seat, console and it still needs a headliner. I am making some different tow eyes for it and may end up putting the fog lamps back in. Also working on replacing some of the suspension and at that time I will bring the front end down a bit.

The front seats look like late 1600 GTV, but do you know what the rear seats are? I can't place them. Car looks great.

Very nice.+++
The only new car I ever bought was a 1969 Super.
It was a relatively quick and deceptive car in its day.
With a 2 L then it would have been incredible.

The carpet came from World Upholstery. The front seats are out of a GTV like my '67. I think the rear seat is original to the car. Even though the car is titled here in CA as a 1968, Marco just sent me the record that the car is a 1972 and it was sold new in Italy.
Yes, the 2L is not stock and runs real strong... it is definitely quicker than my stepnose with the 1750.

Well that explains the console, hanging pedals + brake setup, dash differences, and I think the rear seat too.
Thanks for the tip on World Upholstery. I'll be calling them Monday.

Lovely looking Super there and I can imagine you are pretty stoked with it.
Andrew, I don't know if there were differences between US Supers and ones we got out here in Aus, but my previous Super, was a '68 model and it had exactly the same rear seat. My current project, which is a '69 which I am converting back to look like a '67 though didn't have this split rear seat.
I originally thought the split seat could have been from a 1750 Berlina but I am certain now this is not so. So perhaps it could have been a special order rear seat ?????

What no windscreen wipers(widshield). Is it true it never rains in So Cal?? Great looking car Greg,In my opinion,Giulia TI/Supers always look awesome in white. As a teenager,I would spend hours staring at a neighbours white TI.

A couple of questions: I was told that the Magnaflow exhaust system would not fit on a Super. Did you modify anything to make it fit?
Also, are those GTA wheels? if they are, what size and what size tires are mounted?
Beautiful car! Congratulations.

Thanks for the compliments! Of course it never rains here in Ca. Actually, I have the wiper arms, door seals, fog lamps, trunk seal and a few other bits still to put on the car.
I also love white Alfa's... I have been wanting a sedan for a while and white was the first choice on colors. My 67 step-nose was originally white (currently red) and it will go back to white when the time comes.
The Magnaflow system fit perfectly, no issues what-so-ever. The Super has a header and a long 2 into 1 collector, so I had to shorten up the front section of the Mganflow and do away with the factory type flange that it came with, but it was really pretty straight forward.
I need to take some current pics... The pics above show the car with 14" GTA replicas, 6" in the front and 6.5" in the back, with 185's. The offset was not right and the rears rubbed really bad. The car now has a set of Alfaholics 15" GTA replicas with 205/50/15 Toyo R1R's. I had the Toyo's sitting here and they are just to get me by until my 195/55/15's show up. The R1R is a new tire by Toyo and our tire guy gave us a set to try on our Miata race car, they are great and that is the set currently on the Super because the 195/55's are still several weeks out. The 205 fits pretty good, I just think the 50 series looks a little short in the front. I am hoping the taller 55 series along with lowering the front a little, will look good. The Alfaholics wheels are 15x7 but are different offsets front and rear (i think 29 front and 35 rear).
