I'm curious about what springs (length, weight, etc) you have on your Super. The 15" Alfaholics wheels are a very tight fit and appear to pose a real challenge for Supers with low suspensions. Are you getting any rubbing with your current setup? Have you tried driving the car with someone in the back seat?

Nice car btw. I think the GTV seats and carpet pattern look quite nice.

Awesome car, Greg. Do you have shot of the back?

Ok, I took the car out tonight right at sundown and snapped some better pics. Yes, I am getting rubbing in the rear with the 205's, I hope the 195's show up soon so I can drive it more.
I am getting my black plates assigned to it (hopefully) tomorrow. I still need to install the new tow eyes, and I am still on the fence about installing all the rear script.

Jim, I am not sure if the springs are stock original or not... It has Koni red's on it. I will be going through the suspension soon.
The rear shot is for you Patrick.

Greg, the "received wisdom" says that the optimum tire size for a TI/Super is 185mm---185-70-14 and 185-65-15. Anything larger and things start getting really tight really quick. The problem is exacerbated when the car is lowered. It's possible to do some adjusting of offsets by machining a few mm off the back of the wheel hub and/or a few mm off the axel hub. Things are further complicated by subtile differences from car to car. Something that works on one may not work as well on another car. Good luck and keep us posted!

Max at Alfaholics says with these rims they recommend 195/55's for street cars and 205's for track cars. If I had the car pre-paint, I would have done a little more inner fender work to help with the current issue. I will get the 195's on and then work from there... Like you said, I may need to do more work at that point, especially after it gets lowered.

Greg,

Your Super looks vary familiar....hey wait a minute, that's the same thing I did to my front seats when I redid my '72 Super, also in white with '67 GTV front seats. No back seat in mine however (roll cage is in the way). Mine also has a warmed over 2-Liter. My '72 was also registered as a '67 when a previous owner brought it over from Italy. And I must say, they look much better without the bumpers. And in case you missed my thread here's a link to the restoration and all of my pictures (plus the video presentation): '72 Super Restoration Thread and '72 Super Restoration Video

Hey Gifford,
Yes, I have seen the threads on yours, nice car! One correction, mine is a Super that i actually traded a Ti (and $$) for.
I had been looking for quite a while for a Super, and a perfect match would have been a white '67... I did not want a Ti and although there were a few other colors I would have bought, white was the first choice. After having lots of GTV's, it is nice to add a sedan to the collection.

I don't think I have the "Alfina" car on the Giulia Register. Can you send me VIN, engine number, interior color, etc? Thanks a lot.
Andrew
