I've heard many talk of doing this over the years, but this is the first one I've actually seen done. Excellent. Congrats on seeing a big project through.

I saw this car last week at Monza Motors having some of the finishing touches done, photos dont do it justice (do they ever?!). It is a stunning car. Glad to hear it went well at Winton too.
Well done jg1053!!

it absolutely looks good, but in what way is it supposed to resemble a TI Super?
I am just looking at a well done Super race car, imo...

Hi Berlinista,
Thank you.TI Supers differed in many ways from the TI of the day. Although there has been much said and discussed over the years, not a great deal is known about how?, what?, where? & when? a lot of speculation and myth. My research tells me that these were the lightweight race/rally car and were the precursor to the GTA and was more than likely used by the factory as a running test bed for development. Afterall this car is about having fun and Coure Spotivo, but isn't that what we all do here in these pages and on the road & track.
Regards
Jim

Jim, there's quite a lot on the TI Super on this board. Find out my topic and Zagato Olaf's on the TI Super we restored a while ago. (- help me out an a real TI Super- in the limited production department)
Hope it will give you some idea's.
Best,
Rik

Ah good to see this car and I am glad to know it is up and running now. I was talking with Barry Edmunds about this car recently as he was after some info to help you regarding its original ownership, etc. I knew the car from its previous owner when in pieces down here in Hobart.
I am not sure if you know about Geoff Cotton's project Ti Super replica or not. He has posted the details of his car on the Australian section of the BB under the for sale section.
Rik is right though, as the Ti does differ quite significantly from the Giulia Ti, and its not just about fitting the correct dash, some script, wheels. Not that I am suggesting this is what you have done with your car as from the photos is looks like a lot of work has gone into developing it. It would, however, be great to know what you have done mechanically etc, as it certainly looks superb. Dave

Dave,
As I have stated from the start, this is a replica, NOT a TI Super. I have done quite a bit of research and feel this is a good representation albeit a right hand drive. The whole project was developed to emulate as close as I could the '64/'65 Sandown car. I have never seen a TI Super in the flesh and this is my interpretation. I have to disagree with you as it is about the dash, wheels, badges and the amount of work that has gone into making it as close as possible to an original as possible. I am aware of Geoff's vehicle and yes I have a very similar spec as his, however mines on the road!
regards
Jim
