A few more pics. A closeup of the odd-looking possibly non-original speedo printing, a picture of the headliner, and a picture of the junk in the trunk (pistons, clutch, extra brake parts), including complete, virtually perfect rubber mats throughout. I keep being amazed.

A couple of things stand out about the cluster. The chrome surround was painted black. The lettering for the speedo in particular must have been added later. (The font looks kinda 80s, no?) That said, the contrast is nice and it's very readable. Maybe they cleaned up or replaced the glass too.
The trunk is amazing...but it look like you owe some back registration

No, the edging just looks black in this last picture; it's oxidized chrome. Look at the picture in post 1. I will dig out my extra dash to compare, but I'm not inclined to change it if the instruments work. Luigi, when Damian had your car, I gave him an extra TI instrument unit as a present. Did it come with your car or did he keep it as art?
Rubber trunk mats are incredible. Even though it has a 2001 sticker on the plate, in fact the PO kept the car current and I have the 2009 sticker as part of the deal. He didn't even non-op it; he registered it every year for the 20+ years it was off the road.

So how many white Tis do we now have in the Berkeley/Oakland area?
How about posting a pic of the Cortina? My Dad had a late-70's model back in Taiwan - it was sky blue with a white vinyl top - way cool. Prior that this he had a Morris Marina, which was a dud - broke down all the time but really impressed the neighbors for being an "import".

Cortina pics are on my work computer and I can post tomorrow.
TIs in Berkeley area I can think of (excluding Marin, SF, South Bay, where there are plenty more):
* Rold's black car, Berkeley
* My white car, Berkeley
* White car, on jacks, West Berkeley
* Aaron's white car, Oakland
* Luigi's white car, Oakland
* Conrad's white Colli turbo wagon, Berkeley
* Katchee Bros blue race car, Berkeley
Supers in same area
* My green one, Berkeley
* Aaron's green one, Oakland
* Jeff's green one, Oakland
* Conrad's blue one, Berkeley
* Conrad's green Colli, Berkeley
* White one in the hills, parked several years, Berkeley
* ? one in El Cerrito hills, parked years
* Katchee Bros maroon one, Berkeley
* Ward's white one, Kensington
* Orange one near Glenn Oliveria's shop, Berkeley
* Dan Marvin's Colli wagon, Kensington
* Clem's maroon one, N. Berkeley (parked)
* Bare metal one, Epifani, Berkeley
Plenty of Berlinas too, but that's for another thread.
I'm sure there are more, but that's what I can think of at the moment. Pretty amazing, eh?

Supers are common, Ti`s are for the cognisenti.
Andrew, I checked my dash, which is out at the moment ,and no doubt about it your dash has been redone-the numerals on mine (and you will see on your spare )have a more rectangular appearance -the zeros on the redone dash are rounder and the other numbers fatter but really unless you had the other beside it who would know. Depending on what you are doing with the car though and bearing in mind you have a correct spare I would tend to replace though as these old Ti`s are relatively rare and deserve to be kept as original as possible (although unfortunately mines been repowered with a 1750-anybody have an original 1600 Ti engine?)

This car came with four engines. An 00530 Jr installed, two spare 00526 Super blocks, and a spare 00514 TI block not originally from this car, but in the right serial number range. Assuming I rebuild one of the engines, it'll be the TI block assuming it is in good condition. Of course, I haven't looked into what's wrong, if anything, with the installed Jr engine yet.

A picture of my other 65 TI dash, covered in dust under my house, but I cleared off a bit to see the typeface on the inst pod. As mentioned, this was a Euro car, so it's in KPH.

Luigi's spare cluster is currently adorning the mantle in my house. (Yes, it's true, I am unmarried.) I also have a spare but I need to hang onto it until I've figured out why my speedo and oil pressure gauge don't work.

I was mainly curious; am not asking to buy/trade/beg it yet. As seen above, I have a whole spare dash and can use that cluster if needed, if I can figure out KPH and Italian. Nice that these pieces all stay in the family though.
I drove the TI this dash was in for a few months with this dash, then swapped in a Super dash, heater, and interior. Fun summer 1985 project in a dark, damp apt building garage in Oakland when I was marginally employed.

In Nz we went rthrough the transition period of conversion from MPH to KPH and a fair share of the cars I have are either ex UK (my Giulia for example) or UK market versions-MPH but Italian markings for the guages (olio for oil etc) so one has to be able to work between two scales and languages. Regarding the ancilliary guages its not hard and you don`t need to be an Einstein to get it pretty quickly. Speed is the slightly more difficult but if you remember 30mph is 50kph, 50 mph is 80kph and 60 mph is 100kph you can reference off these figures. Maybe at the beginning you can put red insulation tape on the glass at the important speeds eg your urban speed limit (50k`s?), your open road speed limit (100k`s ?)until you convert without thinking. That`s what we and Australians did when we joined the rest of the world and went metric in the `70`s. You`ll surprise yourself how easy it is to work between the two.

+1 I have two Euro version kph Alfa's here in TX....not an issue. They're not accurate anyway...I "calibrated" them using the electronic signs next to the road that tell you how fast you are going
BTW, congrats, lovely car!
