Just wondering-how many of us in Southern California need to order up before we can get a shipment sent down here? There's at least two of us, and we might find more interested folks at Best Of F&I.

if you people are having a hard time acquiring gaskets, please say so. I will go to several of my parts suppliers here in holland, and make a price for export, ex VAT, inc shipping for say 10 gaskets in one sale. Andrew, possibly we could the ship them to you in the same way you are doing the windshields.
I myself will not be involved, and do not aim for a profit.
I will make a discount price, based on minimum 10 pieces. Also possibly for rear gaskets. I believe sale price for consumers to be 70 Euro apiece. Lets go for a 25/30 % dicount, add freight and handling to CA. Guess around 100 / 120 dollars.
Andrew, if interest is there, mail me at Rikz at casema dot nl.
Regards,
Rik
BTW, trim, new , is indeed unobtainium....

Jon Norman can get the windshield gaskets, and I'm told Alfaholics in the UK has them too for a good price.
NorCal ordered placed yesterday, with glass due in early Dec, maybe Jan.

Yes, Alfaholics has them for £37.50 (the exchange rate is about 1.6 right now, so $60). Does anyone have a source for the trim pieces yet? Just realized that my spare glue-in is not as good as I had remembered.

Trim is not available new. Find it stashed away in someone's garage or on a parts Giulia or Berlina (glued-type trim from US 71-74 Berlinas won't work).

Has anyone found a source for the used trim pieces? Also, someone recently suggested that the gasketed window is only an 1/8" smaller than the glue-in so why not just use a little more glue/adhesive. Can anyone confirm this or have experiance with this?
Thanks.

No, other than APE or someone else parting out Giulias or non-US Berlinas. Maybe one of the UK places? The trim is fundamentally different in how it fits and what it does. The gasket trim is a T-shaped in cross section; the rubber trim is a partial crescent with no "T"-leg.

Update: the windshields proved to be Spider, not Giulia, glass, alas. So our NorCal shipment is off and I've contacted the people who bought in about it.
If anyone has a good (some cracks are OK) whole windshield to use as a mold, the closer to Massachusetts the better, Rich says he'll provide a new windshield as payment. Post here if you have one to use, or email Rich or me. Thanks

Andrew, you're kidding, right ??
The glass co. didn't know that they had a container of spider windshields coming from China ??
So all of our orders are off?

And Ric, that is a very gracious offer.
I suppose that we would have to look at the cost to properly crate a number of them and the cost to ship. I know a good customs broker in the LA area who could assist with the import papers.

A little more than 5 years ago FYG Industries produced these with the Glass Part for the Berlina but turned out to have the wrong tooling, ended up being the Spider windshield. When we inquired back and forth on this for a while we were assured they had the correct windshield now. We brought this to their attention before ordering. It turns out the never did get the corrected tooling and after paying for it we are negotiatng a deal for the Spider glass in stock. Meanwhile I think we have a sample from one of your fellow Alfa Board members and will try to get this going asap.
We do a lot of remanufacture deals. This has not happened in a long time. Hang in there.

Thanks for the effort !
Is there any possability of getting them from Europe? They seem to be avaiable and not expensive.
Would save us the trouble of importing them ourselves....
