What grill is this?

Could anyone tell me what kind of grill is on this super all the way on the left? I first thought the outer grill alone was missing but i'm not that sure anymore.

The grille looks like a 1972 which has 5 bars (although it seems like there are more!)...see the attached descriptions (the Italian is a bit fuzzy but the pictures speak for themselves). I've included the older ones as well...

Yes, that's the grille alfa started to use in 68 or 69 for 1600 supers, which is later adopted to 1300 supers. The headlight rims on most late supers are made of chromed steel, but the first few examples used stainless steel ones (the shape is slightly different too). Also, the flat engine hood (notice the absence of the ridge in the middle) suggests that the car can be a nuova super which have been converted to the giulia style.

The question was regarding the grille...

Yes the hood is from a later Nuova Super...but...and this might be getting silly now...the front fascia panel below the grille doesn't have the vent slots located between the inner lamps and the main "cuore" which was a feature of the later Supers. Did the owner fit a newer hood to the older car or did he/she fill in the fascia vent slots and plastic grille mounting holes in the fenders on a later model Nuova and retrofit the newer grille or...? Now I'm starting to sound like a weiner that reads Road & Track or Car & Driver and is suddenly an "expert" on cars! AAAAH!!

I have a collection of headlamp trim rings...they are made of either polished stainless steel or they are cast in a zinc alloy and chrome plated (I know because one is cracked)...

Yeah it looks like you might be right. The hood i believe might be from the nuova super you posted.
