Steering Wheel Swap

I recently replacement the stock steering wheel in my 1988 Spider Graduate with a wood wheel from an earlier year. Everything fits except the horn is constantly on. There is also one little wire under the center cap that isn't connected or is there anything to connect is to. The wheel is a "personal Alfa Romeo " that has the horns button on each of the three spokes. Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies?
