Front wheel set-up

Hi Sieger,

Your red super looks great with the lowered springs.

I have mine lowered substantually also, but have not figeured out the optimal wheel set-up yet.

The camber is not right yet, because I find that running the 15x7" GTA with 195/60 Pirelli P6000 does not leave much space between the fender edges when cornering. Right now I have positive castor on front, left wheel to allow for space while running 1 degree negative camber on both wheels.

Toe-in would be good to have right too.

Do you have any (or anyone else) have experience on the ideal set-up for the front for fast road and occasional track-day usage??

What I will do then is to put the stock rims on and have the front set to a proposed set-up and then fit the GTA rims and see what happens with the clearance.

NExt step will more than likely be roling of the fender edges to create more space and this should do it.

Last option will be to fit 195/55 tires to the front to give more clearance.

Rgds

Hi,
good looking Giulia.

I have Eibach springs on My Super and it works very well on factory settings. It's true I have 175/70-15 tires on steel wheels and I don't know how these settings works with wider tires.

Here is pic of My 1969 Super:

Believe it or not that doesnt look too bad and I and several others on this forum have tackled as bad if not worse. All it takes is time (and money)

Jay Leno REALLY likes Giulia Supers!

So, I joined onto Charlie DiMarco's GTV6 Day at VCR today, and Jay Leno was there with a Chrysler turbine car. Out of all the megabuck cars there today, Jay came up to me (again) and told me how much he likes these cars (ie, Giulia sedans). He seems amazed that I've owned it for 28 years.

It struck me that this is at least the fourth time over the years that Jay has come up to me and bestowed compliments on a boxy, funky, 43 year old Italian sedan. I told him what I always tell Jay, "they're so much fun to drive and very addictive- go buy one!". Jay is Alfa-less, but owns several Lamborghinis, a Lancia Auralia, etc.

Meanwhile, the F40, Carrera GT, etc. owners are looking on, dumbfounded that Jay Leno could have any interest in my and Gif's Supers!

Obviously, Jay Leno has exquisite taste...

I couldn't get a photo from the front (to many cars and people) and this from the back isn't that good.

Giulia Wheels.

Very smart, 180out, I notice that you beautiful car, I'll say that again, it's gorgeous, has been fitted with wheels from a 2L Berlina, i.e. has chrome spinners, no actual hubcaps. Have fun.

Herewith a contibution with a Nuova Super 1300. The car is one of the really last ones (produced april 28th 1977), after our there have been build another 112, from 68.000 build, so maybe one of the really last ones!!!
Bought the car in 2003 from the wife of first owner, and over the last years slightly modified it.
Started with installing a 75TS engine, including the injection and Squadra chip. Fitted 15 inch GTA replica's with 195/55 and some other mods.
Use it quiet often and ma two daughters love the car, especially when the revs go up and sound (+speed) increases...

And the owner of the car, my 2003 born daughter "Mia Giulia"
