Nice start there. If we can;t even get the wheel changeover right, I can see that this is indeed a futile effort to get correct including all the other features.

Here's a graph from an Italian magazine article. It lists the various Giulia models and the changes within each model.
On the wheel size.....
14" wheels were an option from '68 as far as I can tell.

^ 4) There is listed changings in February 1969. Does anyone know what modifications this actually included? Or is it model year change 1968 to 1969?

Thanks! My Italian was not any better, but my opinion is that there is listed 1968 to 1969 model year changes. So 1968 changes to 1969 in February 1969

If you look at the first list, these are not model year changes, but type changes. Many of the models show changes that lasted less than a year and some more than 2 years.
This would seem to fit the way alfa did buisness. Changes occured when they were ready, not to fit a model year.
This also seems to shed some light on the wheel diameter question. It looks like 14" wheels were an option in "68, but became standard in '69.

I take closer look at the first list and yes, You are right, those February 1969 changes are just type changes. Really looks that also wheels changes 15” to 14” in same time

I am wondering many times when they changed front bumper from thin model to large one. My Super has thin Illea bumper and it was made 28th February. Later 1969 cars shown has always large bumper.
The list has mentioned ”Rostri paraurti maggiorati”,it could be something about the bumper?

My '68 still has the thin bumpers and most of the '69s that I have seen have the thick ones. Who can tell if some of the early '69 cars also had the thin ones as Alfa used up stock ?

Looks different than the one on my 1600 S, made in late '69.
and the '68 Super has the early ones.

Thanks for the pictures, they shown these things on best way.
I think that early '69 thin bumper is quite unknown and rare part. It is made from three pieces by spot welding and below the licence plate area are stamped text ”Alfa Romeo Illea”. All '69 cars on old sales brochures, motor show and road test pictures are with Illea bumper, but in nowadays is hard to find any cars with it.

Wow, seems like we can all find almost any fact we want, just on 14" vs 15" wheels on a Super. Fusi differs from the Alfa Catalogue Raisone, which differs form the post just above, which differs form Alfa's own 1.3/1.6 Owners Manual, which differs from Andrew's summary. And I'm sure papajam could weigh in on the Parts Manual advice. It's getting much clearer now. I now know why Andrew and others have started and then stopped this work. Confusion. Add in uncertainty for "for export fabricated" cars.

The Giulia Picture Roll call thread has lots of interior photos. Some describe their cars and its details well, others just post pics. This makes it harder to ascribe certain features to specific cars. And in reading that thread many times, and conferring with Andrew, so many PO's have modified a lot of these cars that this resource can become a bit dubious.

That's why true unmolested cars are becoming so important as a reference standard. When someone has such a car, they should completely photo document it and post details, with descriptions to document it, noting non-OE details if they know. What Andrew has convinced me of on Supers is summed up in a famous lawyering phrase, "It depends".
