Socket needed
2 ways both require a socket the same diameter as the bush - $1 uses the socket and a press; 2nd uses socket, threaded stud/washers/nuts/2nd socket. Both press old bush out and new bush in.

Use small peening hammer and re-squish while maintaining hole into which solder a wire to by-pass the trace on board...in my case the cardboard "pcb" has been wet several times and failing... hence...

THX Ed - confirmed connections and drove 15miles @speed limit to judge warmup process - still dead gauge and red glow just before rad fan kick in.
At final temp - 180ish at rad fan switch -

Will do - checking which color wire goes to gauge...still sender 1/2 blown (explains why no red light preceding overheat incident last week.

THX ED - Need values please from cold start on both since the warning is merely a glow. This and the lack of needle movement in the temp gauge suggests a fried sender.

Weird - apparently sender fried in overheating incident and DVM reading is infinite ohms over temp range cold - radiator fans on.
Drive tonight showed red overheat light "at some point" as I wasnt...

Any Idea of YEAR of manufacture?
INteresting note is that the original 84 GTV6 2.5L valve covers were installed on the Milano engine... almost as if to 1) hide the change, or 2) because someone decided they look better...

Thanks Del and SW - no h2o or mousse in the oil drained (lucky) but its charred, and will drain and test the radiator before the weekend's adventure - I hope it rains here.
