Why not cut away all the flimsy, thin vertical bit and weld the new gutter at the edge?

Way easier welding, way easier cleaning, and looking at te state of what's left there you'll end up with a...

Their advantage over the slightly cheaper Italian ones is that they're both lockable.

And they do look good.

Gas gauge

Hi Jonathan,

I assume you have a VDO pipe sender in the tank, but what gauge do you have? A VDO too, or do they work with the Jaeger or Veglia brands.

Thanks,
JC

Right side

Hi Alex, if it is that panel, it's located on the right side, as there is none on the left gas tank side.

Ducts

Hi Bob,

You have to remove the wipers and the scruttle grille( I believe is the correct word) to get to the 2 ventilation holes.
The rounded bits need to be glued (black silicone will do fine) to...

Nice one! Glad I could help there!

They really do look good, and if I were building now I would get a set myself too.
Pretty economical too!

Which make?

Do they need to be classic Jaeger or Veglia?

You can swap the Aqua face for an Olio one to get your oil temp gauge...

Otherwise, there's plenty of choice in 52mm gauges from other makers.

Cleco's

The clamps you've ordered are good to align 2 pieces of sheetmetal after you've cut them to size. Resulting in a 1 mm gap to weld.

Cleco's are different, I would call them temporary rivets to...

Costs

Ian,

Costs may really be not that bad as after all it's just a bit of welding, and it may seem rocket science to you, it honestly isn't.

A good craftsman will also be able to create that...

Double skin?

Hi Ian,

How thick is the "fold" of the rear wing at the B post?

Is it thicker as the 3 x 0.8 mm sheet that it basically should be?

Reason I'm asking is that it seems that there is a vertical...
