Romeo & F12 driveshaft weakness info sought

Hello all,

Like me, you have probably read or heard over the years about how weak the front driveshaft UJs are... Are they?

The usual story seems to be that they "pop out" when high torque is applied, say when using a 1600 or 1750 engine.

Is there any hard evidence of this shortcoming?

Any information or substantiation would be most welcomed.
