My GT-Am replica Racecar

Hello
This is my racecar. I drive it in historic motorsport in Germany. It is calld
"Youngtimer-Trophy"
We drive with about 180-200 Race cars in the years 1966-1971,
71-75 and 76-81. Everything is on the start. Opel, BMW, Alfa, Fiat, NSU TT,
Ford and so on.
We race on the racetracks like: Nordschleife, Hockenheim, Spa-Francorchamps, Assen, Zandvoort, Zolder......

Here some Piktures
Best regards
Markus N.

Cool.....

Can you post your lap time on Nordschleife? I always wonder how fast an Bertone GT can complete a lap there.

My racer

First of all: Thank you for your replay, and sorry for my bad english.

let me tell you anything about me:
My father drive kart racing since 1966. I was born in 1969,so I grow up wit motorracing. He was a member of a Racing-club about 10 Km away from here. Also members of this club were some very young ( an age about 8- or 12 years) Drivers with the names: Jörg Müller(BMW today) Ellen Lohr( the fastest Lady in Germany,) Heinz-Harald Frenzen, Frank Biela(Audi) and Michael Schumacher.
Thex live here in a circel from about 40Km

In 1973 my father startet with an Giulia sprint GT Touringcar racing.
So what did his son?? I Did the same, bud today are the cars Historic!

My father died at cancer in 2004, so the best thing i can do is to drive the hisoric cars and he will hav a look from the sky an I know that he smiles.
I´m shure!

Today I drive in the ADAC Youngtimer-trophy, it is the biggest sieies in Germany for historic cars
www.youngtimer.de

My engine has 2L and 186PS, 205nm at 5000ump
The gearbox is GTA
We mus prepare the cars like it was in 1971. It is not allowed to install moderm parts(ignition or something else)
So i have a hard fight with BMW(2002) and Opel (Ascona A).

My fastest lap at Nürburgring-nordschleife is 10:22:857 It was the complete track.

Here some more piktures

Regards Markus

Give those BMW's hell! I think you may be able to brake better than the BMW
so maybe you can use that to your advantage?

good luck and keep those pictures coming. you are living our dream!

My Giukia Super Racecar

Here some Pikturer fom my Giulia Super
They were made in November 2003(It is the beginning of the winter here)
We drive a race it is calld "750 miles", and it is one of the hardest races in the year.
We star in the darkness early in the morning and the end is in the darkness too. When it begenn to rain you have to change the tyres as soon as possible.
At the Nürburgring it rains in November 3 times a day!!
The race goes over 9 houres. We drive with two drivers. One turn about 2 hours, longer turns are vorbidden.
WE HAVE TONS OF FUN !!!

have a look at the piktures, and smile
We were able to winn the Race in the class up to 1971

Markus, this is so cool! Thanks for sharing these with us. I was in Germany from '68-'70, in Niederrodenbach (now just Rodenbach), just outside of Hanau. Learned a little bar German--"ein bier, bitte"--bought my first Italian car there, a Fiat 850 Spider.
