I knew nothing about it until I googled it.

I am amazed at that motor! However, the header system would require me to cut the inner fender wells on my Spider. So, I doubt it's a serious option for me this year.

You could run the headers and pipes out the fenders, give it a real retro hot rod look. I don't think that they make ear-plugs effective enough though to keep you from totally losing your hearing! It would be like standing next to the stack of amps at a Who or Black Sabbath concert--only better sounding.

Did alfa ever have a v8 turbo in F1? I thought it was a N/A Flat 12, or a turbo 4cyl?

The Indy motor Alfa had was based on the the Ferrari unit they did in the
late 1980's. Ferrari decided not to enter Indycar. This was really a FIAT project. Alfa did run F1 V8 turbos in the early-mid 1980's. The Alfa F1 V8 turbo motors were also run by Euroracing and Minardi(re- badged).
