You're not going to be setting lap records with this one.

I took these in Italy, Alfa AR6, their version of the Citroen C25/Fiat Ducato:

When I read "sleeper" my first thought was that you were going to build a camper. Hell, imagine that in a color other than a shade of turquoise reminiscent of the paint on my old '62 VW with a bed in the back and a hitch to pull your trailer. Perfect for races.

Is this Van in France or Utah?

Can those be brought to the US?
What is it's weight limit for towing?
Smog issues?
Import Issues?
Parts and support issues?

What is the range in US dollars to purchase one in Europe?
Poor condition? - average condition? - mint condition?

With the way the dollar is, it will cost double for us just because of the exchange rate with the Euro. Even if one could be had, I'm sure the problems mentioned above make it nearly impossible to realistically get one to our garages.

It would be a real head turner and fun to own though.

Does it run on leaded gas?

I can't read. The main body of the text was lesser important than the photo and the the little info in the top right corner of the users info. Sorry.

It's probably very affordable in Italy. It looks like a small-business daily-hauler according to the photo.

I doubt you can import one. While I don't know the age limit to import cars into the U.S., I doubt this complies with it. Since they were never sold in the U.S., you'd have an interesting time trying to import one.

Weight limit, I have no idea. Look up data for the Citroen C25 or the first generation Fiat Ducato, it'd give you a very good idea. On that note, parts: it was available with the same drivetrains as the Fiat Ducato and those things are everywhere so in Italy, you wouldn't have an issue with parts. And, the body is identical to the C25, the Ducato, the Talbot Express and the Peugeot J5 so body parts are plentiful which is good seeing how horribly dented these usually are.

Value isn't the issue really, the Citroen/Fiat versions of it aren't worth anything, I have no reason to believe these are. Same thing with the Talbot version they sold in the UK. What is an issue is finding one-- they were only sold on the Italian market where most people bought the Fiat Ducato. They're far from common.

That would be perfect for my weekend runs to North Carolina to pick up tax-free cigarettes.

A round of drinks to purchase and $140,000 to import, pay off some warf rat inspector and get it road legal. NICE!

I love odd looking machines.
This one fits the bill nicely, and would get Alfisti wagging their tongues when it shows up pulling a GTA on a trailer (packed full of tax-free North Carolina cigarettes).
Not that I would ever do anything like that.
