Don't the US make exceptions for older cars? I was able to import my GTV6 into Canada with allowances made for the age of the car. With my move to the UK, as the car is older than 15 years a lot of hassles and hurdles are removed. I don't know how old the van in the pic is but perhaps you could find one old enough to qualify for US import regulations.
