I can clearly see that.
Once again, Italian design.
Always Before it's Time,,
And used by generations of 'Car designers',
when the look became Cool.

22 years of driving GTV6's, a million miles.
Pull into a gas station, People look, and a few yell,
"is that there a Scirocco?"
or, " Nice Celica !"

What is it?
Alfa Romeo..
But, who makes those??
ALFA ROMEO.

And I always Smile,, when I make that Busso V6 Sing, pulling away.

Slack jaws in my wake.

Even worse, I once pulled into a shopping mall and was waved over to a roped off area. I then noticed it was for a VW club gathering. I had to point out to the waver that I was driving an Alfa Romeo - not a Scirocco!

More than one bubba at the local Maverick Fuel checked out my orange Montreal, nodded his head, and said "nice Mustang!"

Opron had very little to do with the eventual design of the SZ. His own designs did indeed look like a racier Citroen (awful) and though he was head of one of the design teams it was Antonio Castellana who was responsible for both the interior and exterior of the wonderful SZ.
I don't know where this myth about Opron comes from, perhaps from himself... reflected glory ?

Regards
