Thanks, Enrique.

Women and Alfas

I have no idea who the photographer was for the photo in post #284, which I've seen several places before, including use as an avatar, but at least they could have gotten the lower "V" centered appropriately, so it looks like the clothing fits the wearer.

Well From a photographers point of view I see nothing wrong with it. If the women was in a position to make the V look like it fit's well (which I do not see either), it would be a rather boring and 0 sexiness photo, therefore no point in shooting it. A straight on view would have 0 composition factors. She is portraying sexy and that is what the photographer captured perfectly.

Lets not forget I doubt they are selling clothes here. I see nothing that does not fit right and coming from a guy's point of view that is a sexy shot. No need for more.
I have had many years of formal photo training and I do not see anything wrong with it. Sorry

Ciao! Happy 4th

Jason,

Actually, I have no objection to the post and agree that it is sexy and leaves enough to the imagination to make it attractive, somewhat illusive, and appropriate. I do not have "puritanical" views as others have indicated. They just don't know me all that well.

But having spent many an evening and days with Pat perusing slides with a loop and light table, I did learn certain things that he looked for and one of them was that a photo and its incremental parts were centered properly. If your eye draws down from the bottom side of the ring at the neckline, through the center of the cleavage, down to the "V" in the material, you will note that it is noticeably off-center. With a rounded surface or the center median area of a squared surface it would not be noticeable, but a "V" configuration is very hard to disguise it, if it's not perfect. Further, look at the right side as compared to the left side as far as material coverage, which also shows the disparity in centering. Her head is slightly turned, but her shoulders are level and not turned noticeably.

Only a comment on photographic composition not the actual product or image portrayed. I suppose, I should go buy another pair of shoes, now......I'm not really into handbags.

Cheryl
I believe you have a valid point.
I, myself, have dedicated many hours to studying this photo. Despite all my efforts and eye strain I have failed to quantify exactly what it is that attracts me to it. It's not the centering of the cleavage nor the size of the rounded surfaces ... perhaps it's that disparity in centering?

I have come to one conclusion regarding it, like the Mona Lisa: it is alluring.

Haven't a clue....I'm not sure it's even a dress or a top --- it looks like it's just kind of dangling loosely. But a quick Google search shows it available in a long or short halter style dress from this site for R899. and R799. respectively:

Google Image Result for http://www.alfissimosa.co.za/secure/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/0415181565e62979af5065a47095f004.jpg

in sizes 32,34,36, and 38 in your choice of red or black.

Good luck and HTH.

I went out and checked my 69's grill (that is a 69 in the photo isn't it?) and I'm missing some parts.
