Let's be glad our beloved Alfas are reasonably fuel efficient. Good thing we're not into offroad 4x4 trucks or big block musclecars.

I only got 150 miles out of that tank... Ok, so the Milano runs wayy rich, I drive in the top of the rev band when the car is warm, and I don't drive that much (all driving done during week is on a semi-cold engine, which means mixture is even richer)

Left Coast
Be glad you are not out on our Left Coast where our regular is two cents more than your premium. Surprising how much more I have been riding my bike than driving - exercise included.

At least you can get 93 octane "Ultra" gas.
I'm paying 2.3x for crappy Chevron 91 octane.
And no, my verde is not very fuel eficient. And I don't want it to be it either. I wish I could afford a blower, make it produce 250 HP and do 15miles/galon.

Wow 93 Octane for $2.15? That's a deal!!! We only get 91 junktane at 15 cents more than what some of you pay for 93 octane.
Anyways, wanna play, gotta pay. If not, ride a bike.
We're having it good compared to some of us European Alfa owners.
These days I've tuned my Milano to run a little on the lean side during light cruise and low load.

I've always been somewhat concerned with fuel economy. Alfa has been too.
To wit, on page 80 of my 164 owners manual, there is the following:
FUEL EFFICIENCY IMPROVED THROUGH AERODYNAMICS
Engine efficiency is not the only goal of Alfa romeo designers; they have always been conscious of aerodynamics as a positive aid to reducing fuel consumption.
In high-performance aerodynamics, the number resulting from the multiplication of the frontal area of a car body by its drag coefficient is a very important parameter: the lower this number, the less the drag.
to put it in plain language: thanks to its design features, the sleek, streamlined shape of your Alfa Romeo manages the air flow in a highly efficient manner.
Take that SUV and shove it!

Diesel only $1.99....I hate you. Out here its $2.37-$2.45. I threw in $20 last night and made it to CA Speedway today and 1/4 of the way back 90 miles and I had to put in more on the way home! i'm taking it to the dealer for some warranty work tomorrow. I hope they take their time with my truck and give me a really fuel efficient focus as a rental car.

I feel your pain, but it is still better than paying US$2.55/gl like we do here in Canada.

Another good thing about Pittsburgh,Pa...
Just paid $1.93 9/10 a gallon for 93 octane.....same price here at Sunoco or Exxon. One strange thing is that we don't have 91 octane here any more, only 87,89,93 and at Sunoco, 94.
As far as the other good thing about Pittsburgh.....better give me some time, this could take awhile!
How about it was in the mid 80's on Saturday...and we have a frost advisory for tonight? Geez.......

$1.79 Gal. for Chevron 93...that was Friday.
Does anybody know of a list posted on the either awhile back, on which oil companies here in the colonies are not importing their crude?
Personally, I would rather give my cars food money to a company that is at least trying to keep the madness at home.
