Well, after waiting for four days to pickup the car after an inspection, fluid change, and tune-up, I had to haul the trailer down to Northridge to get the car, as I could not find anybody to give me a ride this morning, so I could drive it home.
Anyway, here's a few pictures of my first fill-up (Haig only left me .25 of a tank), and my first trip in the car, Oxnard to Ojai and back.

I just have to get use to not being able to see around/over other cars like I can in the truck. The car felt good at 120 (~75mph). I guess I'll have to put little bits of tape for 20, 30, 40mph..... to mark the appropriate kph, I wouldn't want to get a ticket now, would I?

Wonderful car !!
Congradulations !!
Have to ask if it has the 5.12 rear end in it. Here's a pic of my 1600 S at speed. Much lower revs.

Hi Gifford,
Looks like you wont be coming home any time soon.....congratulations...on a your fine purchase...i thought you would be the best candidate for the fastest super in the west..next time try giving it some punch...at 85km/h..you are idling...also try the lake cachuma drive via highway 154...up and down to solvang...it almost knows how to get there...did that twice...how about those massive brakes..!!...keep us informed...enjoy.

When I took the instrument picture, I was only in 4th gear, speed limit was 50. I'm not sure, but I think the rear gears are 4:56.
