Reply from an Ex-Pat

Nick, the picture of the Cotswolds brought back a lot of memories. I came to Canada in 1975, I was only going to stay for two years! I am from Wantage over near Abingdon. I have a 1976 Alfetta. The picture reminds me of the drive from Burford to Bourton on the water, or the Air Force base where the Red Arrows used to be based. My Father's friend used to be the commanding officer of that Air Force base and we used to go to the Air Show there every years as VIP's. I married an oriental girl who recently retired from a 30 year career as an International Stewardess, so we get very cheap travel for life. England is approx $100 return, I usually make it home at least once a year. My younger Brother has a business in Faringdon, one in Silverstone and one in Childrey. He paints the F1 cars for Williams & Renault and manufacturers the F1 show cars for Ferrari, McLAren,Williams,Renault,Toyota just to name a few. They are not cheap usually about 60,000 quid each.
Drop me aline, any good Alfa Parts places near you? I have dealt with EB Spares in the past

Cheers Nigel

Lovely Nick. Spring has almost arrived in New England, mid 50s today, got a chance to take my "new" 71 for a spin. I see you still have MA plates, just being sentimental I'm sure.

Nick,

I agree she is a 'pretty co-pilot'. In that pic what's sitting on the dash top ? Is it a radar detector, mp3 player ?

I'm trying to work out the most effective yet sympathetic way to get good music into my Duetto without cutting any metal.

Beautiful original car and a credit to all who had a hand in her restoration.
