And the fate of this gallant steed...note the operational Berlina in the background- this entire car will fit in the Giallo B in 2 loads to the recycling center. (AMHIK).

Yes made the news big time. Very sad and somebody had filmed a home video of his run ...

They decided in their wisdom to run the 1/4 mile drags in the opposite direction to normal at Eastern Creek, thus they were racing straight at a concrete wall, with no run off.

I would assume that Todd held it in there for a little too long and then ran out of braking distance. Unfortunately he did not try to turn the car to the left ... guess he was trying to save it.

The officials running the meeting got in to trouble, understandably, because if they had run it the normal way he would have run into a sand trap type thing and been okay. In the end they obviously did not think about the power of these cars enough ... that car had something like over 800hp!!!!

Went to pick up some manifold studs from the guys who recently did my cylinder head, but they didnt have them, so I followed one of the engineers back to his own workshop.

Pulled up & saw this sorry looking state..................what is that extra wide front axle ?????????

But it wasnt just this he had;
1968 Fibre Glass GT Junior racer
Alfetta Saloon converted into a Ute type pickup - work in progress project......(wish the camera had had enuf battery life in it to take a shot of that as well !!!!)
Berlina
Alfetta GTV with a 3.0 V6
what looked like the remains of a very sorry sud.

.........and old parts heaven........shelfs full of everything
