an alfetta sedan, first or second series.

probably a low-budget wanna-go-fast boy, so typical!

Unhappy Very injured Alfetta

So ,so sad. This appears to be a first series Alfetta(door handles, extractor vents on rear pillar, dished hubcaps) I had one of these for 10 years, great car,but rusted very fast.

During the deluge that dropped 5 inches of rain at the 1965 12 Hours of Sebring the Alfa's ignition got soaked and the car died. Here is Andrea de Adamich about to get the car going again after drying out the distributor cap. The car finished the race in 24th position and 2nd in class. Note the ankle deep water and the other car boating through the lake. In some areas the water was 8 to 12 inches deep and in the pits spare tires were floating around. Andrea de Adamich is soaked through the skin as is the corner worker. Photo courtesy of the BARC Boys.

Jean Rolland crashed in practice for the 1966 Nurburgring 1000km. A year later Jean Rolland died during practice for the 1000km de Paris when his Alfa Romeo T33 left the track, hit a tree and burst into flames.
