Perhaps the way to think about it is that while it is unfortunate that it occured (coincedently) while you were there, it prevented the possibility that it could have occured at a later time with potentially much more dire results.

Here's the remains of a Giulia SS that's in my backyard. I'm not the one who cut it up; I inherited it this way.

It's cool. As I say, I didn't cut it up, and it's been through APE, Barber's Shop in Sacramento, Conrad Stevenson, and my hands. Allegedly it broke in half, due to rust, when being rolled off the trailer years ago. Hence its fate.
