Fun, but kinda sacrilegious and in your face. It was originally a less than $500 dollar car full of rust. For fun, they showed it at the Concourso Italiano and you will read on their site they thought all the 'numbers matching' crowd was rather funny. To be fair, they race in a very rough environment and get beat up quite a bit. That is why the radiator is up high, out of bumper range. The new nose is there because of the damage seem in the last post. They just grafted on a rare 'face' instead of fixing the old one.
From this, to this, to this;

What brand was the storage lift?

I'm afraid to ask. Is the damage covered by Insurance?
I hope she sees better days ahead. Good luck.

By the amount of dirt up the wheels, it must have been hit by a few flash floods.
Sadly--rust never sleeps.

OMG! This is awful! Was it coming out of hibernation in preparation for the convention, when this happened? I feel so bad for the owners, who are such nice people... I hope it sounds worse that what it actually is and that it can be fixed promptly... Is there anything we could do?
Best regards,

Actually, the car was being lowered so I could take some pics of the original toolkit to post on the BB. Although the failure could have occurred at any time, I still can't escape the thought that it is my fault. Don't know what, if any, additional damage was done until the car is inspected on a lift.
