You car is looking really nice. If you run into clearance issues, you could have new hubs made and use a disc with a shorter 'hat' section to move the wheel inboard 15-20mm. Then I think it would look perfect. If you want to re-paint, I saw someone who made the front & rear flares stick out more for their wheels & tires by using spare wheel arches (from a sports sedan). It looked really nice. You could tell something had been done, but it took a bit of looking to figure out what... Good luck with it!

You need to take it off the jack stands before you can say anything about where the wheels will end up, the top will creep inboard when you get it on the ground so it will work great I think.

Fantastic project, will there be an article in Kb about this?

Good project--I bought a black 1979 Alfetta Sports Sedan in 1980.

In 1981 an injector leaned out and burned a hole in the piston, so I had it turbo charged. Eventually it became a quick car as the turbo was improved and weight reduced, and the Shankle suspension installed.

It was a very good sleeper.. Ran it for 18 years when it was seriously rear-ended when parked.
