Do the cams make a difference? If so, how much? Has anyone quantified the impact of the GTA intake cams yet?! Will a stock Q blow this car off the road due to the 4-wheel drive losses and extra weight?

It was sold/bought for a good deal and I will not discuss so please do not ask. I will say that it was money well spent and I can not take it with me when I go.

The car has about 133klms so 80k miles? I am bad at converting klms to mph.

The cams are very noticeable after owned over 15 164 model cars. I really felt the difference at high altitudes going over the northern CA mountains and in southern OR. I think how the car sits it would beat a stock Q I don't know about blowing off the road.

I did pass a guy who owns a business by my home and he said that he thought about me when he and his wife seen me blow by them doing 70mph. Not until I went by to say I seen one of his trucks north of Woodland did he know it was me. We both laughed.

Hate to say it!!! but 99.9% of the members here would never shell out $20k to $25k for that car! Its well worth the money, there are 4 in the counrty maybe 5! Thats what u would have to pay for one here!

So here it begins! There has been 1995 Q's that have traded for around $20k so why wouldn't a Q4 which is SO much more rare and desireble and exotic not go for that much money? Just inquiring, not talking smack...

Super Rare when u see a Q sell for $20k! That's not realistic! going price for a clean stock Q is btwn $8k to $12k.
OK so a Q4 MIGHT be worth more than $25k..since its ALMOST impossible to find..maybe, depends how bad u want one!

Hey lenard,
U can have the spoiler!!
just bring that car to my house! P.S...come alone....

I got to take a ride in it last night! Very nice, the exhaust sound is wonderful from the euro style exhaust, and it feels very very tight. The six speed revs about the same at 60 as an S, around 2500-2600 rpm's, but first is really short and all the other ratios are tighter. The paint awsome, the interior is awsome, its a great car. I hope Lenard keeps this one for a long long time.

The cams that TJ bought from me for this car, make a pretty good difference (GTA Stage I) - especially around - and above - 4100 to 4300 rpm where they start to come in... (Low-down grunt was also higher in my estimation.)

I have some more Stage I and then some Stage II sets in a crate as we speak (that I will be clearing through customs this week!)

Let's not hijack Lenny-boy's thread here though - please email me at info@glenwoodalfa.com or call me at 425.941.4747 and we'll talk.

Yes - a 3.7 litre in this thing would be amazing!

One thing in particular about this car is that it has the later-generation Motronic version software already (v3.4/.7 - later than the LS and Q cars) with the hot-wire pass-through MAS air sensor tube!

No crapper-flapper AFM - VERY sweet! This car IN PARTICULAR will fly once it gets the UniChip and dyno-mapping! Lenard, what you need now is that UniChip upgrade and their dyno-tuning! Look on-line and see if there is a dealer near you in Sac.

Somebody asked the question about performance with the cams - 212-214 consistently at the wheels (at sea-level) from a stock internals 164 LS/Super 24 valve with only the 44mm Q intake runners, our Stage I cams and the UniChip added!

See here: GTA Cams In The 164 LS!
