Why a brake booster on a ' 57 ?

The booster is the type you can use with floor mounted pedals. The disks just work better with extra pressure. The beauty of these boosters is they can be located anywhere (with some custom plumbing.) There's a description of the car in the preceeding thread. I blew it by not just posting the additional photos as a reply to the first thread I started. Sorry for any confusion.
