GTV in the snow, no problem!
In college I put 4 Blizzak snow tires on my '86 GTV-6 to get through the winters of upstate New York - the thing was like a truck in the snow, very sturdy...when it started (needed a jump about once a week). Just dont try to use the power windows before the car is thoroughly thawed out, they may freeze up in the down position...

Be nice and put a cover on her. Is it just the angle of the pic or do you have different size shoes from front to back?

I put a set of snows on the back of my winter beater GTV6 " Blackie' and I'm always surprised at how good the traction is. Though I don't drive it DURING snow storms[ like right now, 12 inches and more to come] my driveway is 1/2 mile long UPhill and without snows, I have to park at the bottom !!

Had a Alfetta that got me through college. By 1981 the bottom portion of the windshield surround had rotted out so badly that I had to wear plastic baggies over my shoes to keep them dry in the rain. I loved that car but it didn't like to be out in the weather.

No I took her out of the garage to clean out the crap I had all over the place and got caught in a snow storm. Tomorrow she is going back in. This car spends 7/8's of the year in the garage. Yes diferent size wheels. 15 in Ronals in back and 14in Ronals up front shod with Michilin Pilots. Full GTV 6 Recaro interior. Rest if car set up to euro specs. Lots of fun.
Regards,
Ruben

That really looks hot! I've heard that putting a smaller wheel upfront compared to the back on the GTV6 throws the handling way off (I forget if it is bad oversteer or understeer) but it sure looks great! I once had a 73 Capri with larger rims/wheels in the rear and loved it - more pictures please ... less the snow!

Ha! I had to wear several pairs of socks when I was driving in the winter because freezing cold air would leak through the floors when I was on the highway... If ONLY she ran hot!

I have been driving it with this set up for years. Very hard around these Pittsburgh hills with no handling problems. Plus it really looks cool!

Hey Ruben,
Do you have a side shot pic [ w/ no snow ] to show the tire difference?
After seeing this thread, it got me thinking again. I started this one as a result
'opinions needed; Larger tires/wheels on back-Looks cool, but not good?'
Sorry, don't know how to add thread thing
