Did anyone see this lovely 1956 Alfa Romeo Ghia Aigle Lugano 1900 Coupe? Just a mere $58,000.

It's really not even worth the $6500 starting price. It has some rust and is a little on the rough side. Last year, the 1750 engine spun a bearing. The owner put a 2 liter in it that he bought from soneone else. I don't remember if it was rebuilt or reportedly rebuilt. If you are interested in bidding on the car, ask the owner for reciepts for the engine rebuild.

Like Osso, I too know this Junior Z. The owner has been trying to sell it for 2 years, one way or another. The car has potential, he just wants too much for it, IMHO.

The rust problem with the Junior Z cars is tremendous. There is a 3/4" gap on the inside of the rear wheel wells that makes the cars rust from the inside out on the rear quarterpanels all the way to the back. The rust issues under the front quarterpanels near the A post are susbstantial, too.

Anyone buying one of these cars better strip it to bare metal and rebuild it from scratch, or get proof that this has been done recently and professionally.
