Pretty cool pictures. While it's true that the M5 is a better performing car lets remember it costs about 25k over the price of a normal 5 series. If only Alfa had put 25k worth of factory tuning into a hot version of the 164 I think the contest would be pretty close.

I do think the 164 looks better.

6 years ago when i purchased my first alfa 156 i was thinking long time do i go with bmw 320 or Alfa 156 2.0, i tested both as new some time.. oh yeah alfa won in my mind, but i really like these german bullets too, every time i see M3, Z4, or just nice and clean 3rd series coupe i think its just great car, new twinturbo is great too... i've been in 5th series 240kmh and i must sai i felt quite safe but excited etc, nice cars, bit expensive but anyway ...my second choice (after maserati quattroporte)

...only thing that i dont understand on these pics is that ferrari logo on 164 why? ...everybody relax, just cool cars...

Both cool cars...nothing wrong with showing them together...nobody would argue they are in the same category when it comes to performance! The 164 is a bit overdone for my tastes...but my car is a bit stock for other peoples'...
