Goodwood Festival of Speed 2006
Just a selection of low-res photos from yesterday, I've yet to shrink some of the huge file sizes to fit the BB's posting limits but maybe others were there too and can fill the gaps. Not entirely Alfa-specific but plenty of goodies here. And I seem to recall one member who would take the cute Siata ... enjoy!
Alex.

1982 Lancia LC1 and 1981 Lancia Beta Montecarlo Group C
1975 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 TT12 with Periscopo version in background. Over the weekend these were demonstrated by Nino Vaccarella and Arturo Merzario themselves!
1956 Lancia-Ferrari D50A, complete with hand-brushed race numbers, a nice touch.
1975 Periscopo with older relatives in the background

1965 Ferrari 330 P2
1963 Ferrari 250 GTO
1964 Ferrari 330P, ex Surtees/Bandini, waiting for the off ...
1972 Ferrari 312 PB, again driven by Merzario over the weekend.
1981 Lancia Beta Montecarlo Group C, 1964 CD-Panhard 3 (with a 0.85 two cylinder engine, reached almost 140mph at Le Mans!).
I'll try to shrink some other interesting pics in the days to come.

Was a fantastic event this year - a more star studded line up than ever before, with the likes of Parnelli Jones, Dick Petty to name but a few on the bill! - Couple of extra shots.... my write up of the weekend here:- http://www.alfaholics.com/news/document_60_7.php

Hey, I didn't realise you were there Max, and great pics! Actually I didn't know I would be going until 8pm the night before so I missed other friends there too . I only caught a brief glimpse of Tim Dutton's ex-Rindt GTA as it went up the hill at about 9.30am, where was it parked after that?
One of the most incredible moments was when the technicians fired up the Renault F1 car in front of Goodwood House and, thanks to some clever computer trickery, made the engine 'play' the Marseillaise (the French national anthem) out of the exhaust pipes, pitch perfect!! I'm sorry I never made it up to the rally stage this year, that looked like great fun. I met a guy at the Auto Italia day at Brooklands earlier in the year who has one of those Lancia 037s, albeit in Stradale form; the grin on his face as he was talking about it said it all ...

yes, I did both saturday and sunday! On Saturday the Renault played the English national anthem too... v cool!
The GTA was in the bottom paddock next to the Supercar Paddock... pity about the fibreglass front wings etc etc....
)37 was awesome.... but not as awesome as the Delta S4... unfortunately didn't get a picture of it. Rally stage was by far the best spectacle of the day and a very worth while trip up the hill.
