Nice looking cars ... 7.8k since '94. Come on, while Spiders are great to look at they are even more fun to drive.
Stop working too hard , and take a holiday and put some enjoyable miles on that lovely green Spider.
I'll make myself available if necessary
Pete

I didn't get her started on trips until she was 1 year old - I bought her sight unseen while living in Japan via my father. Speaking of which, I partied with some Aussies over there - you guys do know how to have fun.
We have had lots of fun trips in her since new but, there have been several more scenic trips in her since we moved to California almost three years ago.
She also had an electical issue from the get go that the dealer in Ohio kept claiming was that I was leaving a light on. If I let the car sit for 2 days, the battery was dead. To make a long story short, when I moved to California, Roselli's found that there was an issue with the hazard switch after extensive searching. Finally, my electrical woes solved.
Yes, I do work too much as well. The automotive industry does that to you. My newborn (3 months) has kept me busy as well. She'll have plenty more miles soon enough.
Take care,

Be warned though, Alfas can have a strange effect on owners; ‘Alfaholic’ a recognised condition among car enthusiasts

I was driving a Saturn SL1 (my wife's old car) before buying the Alfa 164. The Alfa is just a tad bit faster than the Saturn .
I was driving up a steep grade the other day with my wife to go to dinner and I informed her that we were going 100mph. She replied in amazement "I have never gone 100mph before!" and "It was so smooth at 100mph, I was about to nod off - wow!"
I can't wait until Alfa comes back to the states. I get a discount on GM vehicles (including the Saab), so hopefully the same carries over for the Alfa's. I am eagerly waiting .

Paul,
Thanks for the compliment on the Spider. She has been my pride and joy for almost 10 years now. I always get "nice car" compliments from others but it really means more from Alfisti.
Thanks!

That is one beautiful 164. I wish my 164 had that nice a paint. Also I like the late version without the plastic halfway up the doors. Really beautiful 164!

alfa_164s,
Yes, the Spider is beautiful both up close and far away. I am attaching a picture of the interior. I really like the look. The only disappointing thing about the car is the special wheel center cap and CE hood ornament quality. After washings, these have started to break apart. I am going to have them restored.
The 164 has some flaws (that are more clearly visible up close) that I am trying to work out. The stainless strip has some dents in the front of the car as well as one in the back. There are some small amounts of rust around the rear window and around the rear wheel wells - I used some Wurth rust guard temporarily until I have it fixed properly next year. The 164 drives well and I have really enjoyed it so far. For a '95 model - what a car!
You hit it dead on. The wheels are Borbet. I have 205/55YR-16 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on them. I am pretty satisfied with the combination so far.

Jørgen,
I only have 2, you have 5. You win. Wow, where do you store them all? I cannot afford enough space here in California for any more Alfas. Looks like I have to move back to Ohio.
Take care,
