Owner installed Kill switch would be my guess. I have two mystery toggles on my car as well, one kills the ignition, the other...who knows.

The mystery switch could be for locking out the altitude compensation setup if it has a Spica system. The switch makes cold starting really easy. I have this setup on my car. The car starts almost every time on the first try.
That white car is going to be really nice. The work being done is first rate with out a doubt.

Spica
Do you mean the cold start soleinoid ? The barometric compensator has no electric leads so I assume you mean a cut off circuit for the CSS ?

interior photos
I'm interested in any photos or info that indicates how the rear drape pieces fit behind the seats. Specifically, I'm referring to the 3 separate vinyl covers that line the rear of the cockpit behind the seats. I can't quite work out how the upper edges are fixed in place. Are they supposed to have attachment to the base of retractable roof? Do I need to stitch some sort of edging to the vinyl? It appears that something had been in place on my original bits.
I purchased the car as a shell, so the roof is not installed nor any of the interior, with the drape remaining somewhat mysterious. It also just occured to me...was there any sound deadening material behind the drape?
Bonus question if I may...can anyone specify/identify the fastener than is/was used to secure the trunk mat? I have some original plastic "pegs" but they appear awfully long/tall for the job. Any ideas?
Any reference info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

On mine, which appears to be original, the drape pieces are attached (glued I think) to the metal strip that runs along the bottom of the rear of the top and that holds the top to the rear panel.
The draped mats actually attach at the rear of that strip and drape over the top of the strip, so that the strip is hidden when in place.
There was sound deadening material there, same as on top of the parcel shelf. Perfect for trapping moisture and promoting rust. AMHIK!

Is the rear parcel shelf lots shorter on the early models and the legroom much greater? If so, what year did they decrease the legroom? Just a tall guy who at one point wants to own a spider,

Your 69 shift boot should look like this one along with a cigarette lighter/ash tray as pictured.

The picture I re-posted is not from my car.
I believe you are in Europe so I think you will understand. I get discouraged with buying the wrong parts for my Duettos from vendors who think it's OK to fit 115 Spider parts on 105 Spiders.
I made my shift boot from leather using the original as a pattern. The original is a fabric reinforced vinyl material that lasted for many years. Yes, there is a steel ring at the bottom of the boot. It is inserted inside the shift boot about 20mm from the bottom edge. Contact cement is applied to the inside surface and the vinyl/leather is folded inward, over the ring. Once dry, the boot is installed over the plastic base - with difficulty!
There is also a rubber ring stitched to the top edge of the shift boot to form a seal around the shifter column.
