The dash was a pretty easy swap. Although I had to extend the harness and change the plugs, (Have to have a doner car for the harness.) I think I had the whole thing done in about 3-4 hours on a Sat. Tha hardest thing was the speedo cable. The ends are different. There is a slight difference in width and in the way the dash mounts. All problems were small compared to the giant cracks in my old dash(car used to live out west)

My ALfetta got a bit of a face lift

I managed to track down some stainless bumpers for my car. I was hoping to mount the bumpers without drilling or cutting any holes in the car. As it turns out, I'll have to drill holes to secure the rear spears to the side of the car. I fabricated my own mounts for the front bumper. I kept the rear bumper struts and fabricated brackets that mount the bumper to the struts. This is work in progress. The turn signal indicators will be moved so they don't stick out as much.

Yes... it would be almost impossible to find another 1984 model in any condition over here... and my example is of course unique. I suppose i could always beg the new owner to sell it back to me

I need the money to get my '74 GTV back on the road, summer is coming and im terrible at saving money

I like the way yours fit. I think they look like they are a little tighter than mine.

They are not from a donor. They are new. I found them in France. It took three weeks and lots of emails to track down a pair. They aren't perfect. They have just the right amount of patina to match my car. I got new overriders or bumperettes (whatever you want to call them) from Italy. I am very happy with the look. I wonder if the loss of the heavy bumpers will be noticeable?

When I took off mt rear bumber I was sitting on the ground behind mine where you can see there is a mighty slope going into my garage. When it came loose I just about tumbled down the hill backwards. I would guess that removig 800 lbs of bumpers will make a difference
It seemed to on mine.
