I, likewise, would gladly take that sedan off your hands - I've actually been looking for another toy (Alfa or not), only requirement so far is no smog testing. Here's a pic from elsewhere on the BB. Anybody recognize this car? The PPO's name was Ed Milano (of all things), and I bought the car near Martinez in 2005 - it's got an old ARA sticker in the back, a sailing club sticker on the left rear window, and a dent on the driver's side rear quarter.

WOW!! It's very cool to see that picture - thanks for posting. Where was that taken? I bought the car in in San Jose at the beginning of '99 and planned on never letting it go - however, never say never - and I passed it on to Grant this past March. What else can you tell us about it? BTW: I still have that Alfa badge/shield thing from the grill on my bookshelf!

I bought the car from an Alfa Mechanic in 1996. Lowered it and added some stuff to it and had to sell it because my commute became long and had a friend that bought it from me.

I am so glad it ended up in a good home because I really did not want to let it go.

The pic was taken in Almaden, San Jose. Use to live in the Bay Area for 25yrs.
Moved to Las Vegas in 2001 and am looking for a good 116 chassis NOW.

Took an Alfa vaction for about 9 years.........NOW I want to get back into it.

Homer, that is awesome. Where in Almaden did you live? Seeing the picture gives me the chills because that area looks REALLY familiar to me. I also live in Almaden, near Leland.

The nose looked a little straighter 13 years ago, but definitely the same car! I just spent a couple hundred getting the exhaust tucked up near the chassis...I gained up to 2.5 inches of clearance in some areas! The catalyst was scraping on speed bumps when I lowered the car back down.

Also, did you ever put any performance gear on the car? I'm quite sure a previous owner time-trialed the car at some point (great!) and I think someone even added camber and toe (too much!) to the dedion. It also has Shankle 25mm torsion bars, and a Shankle front sway bar..and some silver springs in the rear.

Grant, I use to live at the end of Almaden Expwy on Alamitos Crk Dr.
The previous owner did do alot of upgrades and had it in great cond.
I did some cosmetic body work and that's it.

He had it so Perfect that I did not want to touch it.

I will try to see if I have some more pics I can attach.

Thanx for bringing up some good memories, specially the euro plate in the back!!!
Miss my 116s and cannot wait for my next Baby.

Thanx Again.

Great action photos! So that's what snow looks like? Pretty, but I'll pass. Waaaay off the subject but I'm surprised so many of the original type dual air dams still exist...especially on a car tilting over about 30 degrees from center. Is someone producing spares, perhaps in Mallorca?

Has anyone ever rolled an Alfetta GT by overcooking it in a turn?

I know, this is supposed to be pictures only.

Biba

Thanks Biba,

The car is fantastic over snow and very entertained, only with contact tyres it's got a lot of grip in comparisson with other cars with snows tyres and nails... We only did two donnuts in all the rallye ...

In Spain maybe there are 15-20 dual air dams models still working, but in the little island of Mallorca there are only two... and one is broken and nobody knows about it since 2002 ... so mine is the last pre-80 Alfetta in the island... As you can deduce there are nobody in Mallorca who produce spares for this cars... but in Spain and better in France and Italy I can find a lot of spares... or in the worst case I make or repair it... like one of the air dams.

Overcooking???? No, never... In the last image when I was catching the 348 the temperature was 120ºC ... more or less the same as 250ºF... but it was an old Alfa 75 temporary engine (1.8) ... and it still working in perfect condition...

Best regards, and sorry for my English.

Tommy.

Tommy, great photos!

Since you like to drive hard, look into buying yourself some Ron Simons Racing coilovers.
AlfaRomeo-PerformanceParts (powered by CubeCart)
Well worth the money, and an acceptable ride on the street.

Biba, unless a car hits an object while cornering hard, I doubt an Alfa is going to rollover from driving hard. Unless you were kidding, then never mind =)

Hello Grant,

I Know this shop, but thanks. I'm thinking to buy some racing parts for my Alfetta but now I'm about to begin a new project, an Alfa GTV6 1980 Race Car, and so give a break to my Alfetta GTV 2000 ... but I'm not sure at all because the GTV6 is in very bad condition...

At the moment, the unic thing not original in my Alfetta is a Koni Yellow Suspension... (installed after the firsts fotos)

Thanks and Best Regards.
