Now that is a nice looking Alfetta. I'd love to see how you go those european bumpers mounted. I am not happy with the way I've got them mounted on my car.

Thanks!
Would you be surprised to hear that the bumpers are mounted on the U.S. bumper shocks? I ran a thick piece of aluminum between the two shocks - drilled holes to match the existing holes in the shock mounts - then drilled holes that lined up with the existing holes on the bumpers (so no new holes were drilled). That was possible since I didn't like the overriders so I removed them from the equation.
On my '77 sedan, i did all this crazy fabrication that took forever, and it didn't look any better - except that there was plenty of room for the U.S. turn signals to mount (the shock mounts disrupt the indent for the lenses - so I'm still looking for smaller units to install ).
The rear wraparounds did require drilling a single hole on each end through the rear fender.

Rusting away...
Rusting away...
In the Northwest, we have only rainy days
(Besides, I guess the owners figure their coupes are faster than sedans)

I would guess that since that pic was taken five years ago that most of those poser Alfettas HAVE rusted away
We need more sedans. (or less... makes our sedans worth their wieght in gold )

by the way, perhaps you like the Mazda becuase it was styled by bertone...Alfa turned their nose up at the design and Mazda snapped it up...whilst Alfa put out the Guilia super and Berlina instead. I really like the lines of the Mazda, and it was built to last/not rust which is a refreshing change!

Not just Bertone, but styled by Guigiaro while he was working at Bertone! He truly is the master of all car design in my book.
